The title came to me while doing the 20th version of the song (usually my music goes through many versions before having a “final” one).
I saw a documentary about the history of the war between Napoleon and the Russians where they mentioned that the Slavs asked the Parisian restaurateurs that their food has to be served “bwystra” (bistro: fast in Russian). I tought of Spiritual bistro as a place where you can quickly to satisfy your spiritual hunger.
At first, it seemed to me an appropriate title to portray a society that seeks instant relief from its soul ills, but then it seemed to me that it did not necessarily has to be a negative idea. Many times, one requires quick relief to be able to continue on their way.
The video that promotes the song has the valuable contribution of several visual artists whom I found on Pexels.com. This platform allows you to use their videos without exclusivity and asking for a link or a donation in recognition of the work of the creators.
I found it interesting to explore the use of these videos (filmed in different parts of the world and with different intentions) to tell a story that, precisely, has nothing to do with their original intention.
It was a very particular experience to see how the videos suggested a common thread and this in turn, I feel that the video reflects those moments of emotional turmoil that make one look for answers in their inner world.
